Greg Deda is a Canadian artist renowned for his works in magic realism, abstract, and semi-abstract styles. He studied at the Scuola Dei Beni Culturali (now the University of Salento) in Italy, where he was inspired by Renaissance frescoes by artists like Michelangelo, Botticelli, and Mantegna. He furthered his studies at Kunst Schule in Germany, interacting with artists such as Gerhard Richter and Jörg Immendorff.
Deda’s art is internationally recognized, with exhibitions in cities like Torino, Düsseldorf, Munich, Toronto, and London. His works are known for their dreamlike and ambiguous atmospheres, evoking emotional responses. Themes in his art include altering societies, illusions, Roman mythology, ambiguous nature, and architecture. His abstract collections connect to the subconscious mind, architecture, and nature.
In London, Deda held a solo exhibition at the Chelsea Gallery, located at 154 Fulham Rd, Chelsea, London SW10 9PR. The gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 to 18:00, and Sunday from 11:00 to 17:00.
